All Black Poly Pipe SDR17
Black SDR17 poly piping comes with a huge number of benefits. These benefits include resistance to corrosion, damage, impacts, and chemicals. Other factors favouring SDR17 HDPE pipes are; ease of installation, a lifetime well in excess of 50 years, and the ability to be used for pump suctions without the risk of sucking flat.
What does SDR17 mean? SDR stands for Size Dimension Ratio. So you divide the outside diameter of the HDPE piping (in mm) by the SDR, to give you the pipe wall thickness. For example, you could divide 200mm(OD) by 17(SDR 17), giving a wall thickness of 11.7mm. With HDPE piping material, SDR17 gives you a pressure rating of PN10, or 10 bar.
